About Marina Daif
Life can be demanding, and it’s easy to feel like you’re juggling everything on your own. If you’re feeling disconnected, overwhelmed, or hopeless, Marina offers both experience and compassion in helping you navigate life’s challenges. She works with both individuals and couples to find their way back to connection, strength, and a more fulfilling life.
Couples and Marriage Therapy
Do you and your partner feel more like roommates than a loving couple? The daily pressures of careers and family life can often lead to communication breakdowns, unresolved conflict, and a loss of emotional and physical intimacy. Marina creates a non-judgmental space where you can both feel heard and understood. Using proven approaches like Gottman-based and emotion-focused therapy, she helps you untangle communication knots, rebuild trust, and rediscover the connection that brought you together. Her goal is to equip you with strategies to turn conflict into an opportunity for deeper understanding and growth.
Stress & Anxiety
Trying to balance work, family, and personal time can often feel like an overwhelming and never-ending cycle. This constant pressure can lead to persistent worry, trouble setting boundaries, and a feeling of being perpetually drained. Marina understands how stress and anxiety can impact both your mental and physical well-being. Using a blend of cognitive, strengths-based, and self-compassion approaches, she helps you explore the roots of your stress and develop healthy, effective coping strategies. She empowers you to reframe difficult emotions, transforming anxiety into an opportunity for deeper self-understanding and growth.
Grief and Loss
Navigating life after losing a loved one is a profoundly personal and often isolating journey. There is no timeline for grief, and you deserve a space to process your loss without judgment. Marina understands that this journey is unique for everyone. Drawing from grief-centered and compassion-based therapies, she provides gentle, supportive guidance as you move through the complex emotions of loss. She helps you find ways to honor your loved one while gently rebuilding your life in a way that feels true to you.
Life Altering Events & Trauma
Traumatic experiences—whether from loss, abuse, or other life-altering events—can leave you feeling powerless and disconnected from your own life. These events can create echoes that impact your relationships, self-worth, and ability to feel safe long after they’ve occurred. Marina draws on a combination of trauma-informed therapy approaches to create a secure environment for healing. She works alongside you to help you process your experiences, reclaim your personal story, and restore your sense of strength, resilience, and identity.
Personal Background & Experience
In addition to her work as a therapist, Marina has also dedicated over five years to volunteering with new immigrants, gaining valuable insight into their unique struggles with acculturation, poverty, and trauma. In her free time, Marina enjoys exercising and loves spending time outdoors by going on walks, hikes, and bike rides. She also cherishes the quality time she spends with her loved ones and believes in the importance of maintaining her relationships no matter how busy her life gets.
