About Jenn Greenwood
With over 13 years in the mental health field, Jenn Greenwood has learned that how we approach our lives is often more impactful than what we do. If you feel like you’re questioning your path or carrying the weight of the past, Jenn offers a genuine space to reconnect with yourself. Her approach is relational and person-centered; she brings her own humanity into the room to build a real connection before diving deep. With warmth, humour, and a flexible, trauma-informed perspective, she helps you unpack old stories and find a more meaningful way to live.
Midlife Transitions
The middle years can feel like a crossroads, leaving you asking, “What’s next for me?” You might be navigating career changes, evolving family roles, or a sense that the life you’ve built no longer fits. Jenn helps you navigate this tender time by providing a safe space to pause and take inventory. Drawing on her humanistic approach, she helps you reconnect with your inner wisdom, giving you the clarity to move forward with a renewed sense of purpose and self-trust.
Emotional Overwhelm & Trauma
When overwhelming events shatter your sense of safety, the echoes of trauma can leave you struggling with intense emotions, disconnection, or shame. Jenn specializes in helping clients live satisfying lives despite these experiences. Using evidence-based tools from Cognitive Processing Therapy (CPT) and Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT) for emotional regulation, she helps you build the capacity to hold your story with compassion, find safety in the present, and reclaim your life from the grip of trauma.
Changing Harmful Habits and Self-Improvement
Changing habits is difficult, whether it’s questioning your relationship with substances or breaking an unhealthy cycle. If you feel stuck in a pattern that no longer serves you, Jenn brings over a decade of experience in addiction support to this challenge. Using principles from Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), she helps you explore these habits with curiosity, not judgment. Together, you’ll work to build healthier coping strategies and align your actions with the person you want to be.
Identity and Self-Discovery
Beneath the roles we play lies the question, “Who am I, really?” If you feel lost or like you’re living a life that isn’t truly your own, Jenn creates a supportive environment to explore this. She helps you get curious about negative internal messages from your past and gently begin to rework them. The benefit is moving beyond who you think you should be and discovering the freedom that comes from living a life guided by your own authentic values.
Background and Interests
When not in the therapy room, Jenn navigates life with her trusty 13-year-old Yorkie-poo, Bear. Her spirit is fed by quiet mornings kayaking and exploring new cultures abroad. She believes in caring for the whole self, whether through strength training or experimenting with a new Moroccan stew in the kitchen. She is kept young at heart by her favourite humans, her niece and nephew, with whom she is most present—whether cheering at a sports game or being schooled in the latest trends.
