Reach Out To Mandy If...

  • The relationship you want feels out of reach. Mandy helps couples move past conflict, disconnection, and the slow loss of self — toward choosing each other honestly and building something meaningful.
  • Grief won’t lift and the world has moved on without you. Mandy helps you carry loss without being buried by it, and find out what kind of life is still possible on the other side.
  • Midlife has left you wondering who you are now. Mandy can help you stop measuring yourself against who you used to be and meet who you’re becoming — with curiosity instead of judgment.
  • Childhood wounds are still running the show. Mandy can help you untangle the patterns that kept you safe as a child but hold you back now — so you can trust more freely, set boundaries without guilt, and feel grounded in who you are.

Mandy brings over 20 years of experience to some of the most challenging times in people’s lives — couples in crisis, grief that won’t lift, midlife upheaval, and the long reach of childhood trauma. She is warm, deeply curious, and honest in the way that good therapy requires — helping you move from the fog of surviving to the clarity of knowing what you value, what you need, and what kind of life you actually want to be living.

How Mandy Can Help You…

Couples Therapy

Long-term relationships are beautiful and demanding, something Mandy understands from her own marriage and from years of sitting with couples at every stage of struggle and repair. She works with couples through infidelity, intimacy concerns, premarital counselling, substance use, family conflict, and the identity shifts that come with empty nesting.

Mandy helps straight and queer couples uncover what’s really in the way: the over-accommodating, the gradual loss of self, and the unasked question of what this relationship is truly asking of you. The goal isn’t just less conflict, it’s two people choosing each other honestly, showing up as who you actually are, and building a shared life that is meaningful to both of you.

Grief & Loss

Loss comes in many forms — sudden and shattering, slow and anticipatory, or so quiet the world barely notices. Having supported a parent through terminal cancer, and as someone who has faced pet loss herself, Mandy brings real, lived understanding to this work. She supports clients through traumatic loss, loss to suicide, the death of a spouse or child, and the quieter losses no one acknowledges.

Mandy’s approach isn’t about getting over loss, it’s about learning to live honestly inside it. Grief transforms everything: who you are, what matters, what you can still believe in. She helps you face that transformation and find out what kind of life is still possible.

Midlife Changes & Challenges

Perimenopause, hormonal disorders like PCOS, chronic pain/illness, and body image struggles don’t just affect the body. They shake a person’s sense of self to the core. Add in the shifting roles of midlife — children leaving, careers plateauing, marriages evolving, the quiet question of what’s left when the life you built around others empties out — and it’s no wonder so many people feel lost.

Mandy helps people stop measuring themselves against who they used to be and start meeting who they’re becoming with curiosity instead of judgment. Not a makeover, but a quieter shift: learning to be gentle with yourself in a body and a life that are asking you to change.

Childhood Trauma

Maybe you’ve spent your whole adult life feeling like something is wrong with you — apologising too much, bracing for conflict, struggling to trust. Maybe the flashbacks, low self-esteem, or the anger make more sense when you trace them back to childhood: abuse, emotionally immature parents, addiction in the family, or a home where your needs simply didn’t count.

Mandy works with adults who are ready to stop surviving and start building the life that was never available to them as a child. She helps you untangle the patterns that kept you safe then but hold you back now so you can trust more freely, set boundaries without guilt, and feel grounded in who you are.

About Mandy

Born and raised in Guelph, Mandy lives here with her life partner, rescue dog Milo, and two wonderfully opinionated Sphynx cats, Onyx and Peaches. Outside the office, she paints, loves fairies and all things fantasy, and has rewatched Lord of the Rings more times than she’ll admit. She brings her whole, imperfect, human self to this work — because she believes therapy only works when the person across from you is willing to be real, too.
