About Leanne Wagner
Leanne Wagner is registered with the College of Psychologists of Ontario and supervises many of MyLife’s therapists in the areas of couples, families and individuals (across the child, adolescent and adult ages). The supervision model she uses is developmental in nature, meaning she sees each supervisee as growing and developing and works to help them reach their clinical goals, maximize strengths, grow areas of weaknesses and develop confidence and autonomy in their practice.
Leanne has worked for 12 years in the areas of anxiety, depression, parenting, relationship issues, eating disorders, and other areas of general private practise. She believes all therapy models have a common goal of helping an individual reach emotional awareness and health.
She is trained in areas of Adlerian Therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and Relational Therapy but uses an eclectic approach when treating clients and assisting supervisees with therapeutic goals. Choices and techniques don’t always work the way we hope and the value of a conceptualization is that it helps us understand what-to-do-when and if it doesn’t work, re-evaluate our methods and conceptualization to facilitate their growth. Leanne also has numerous years of expertise treating couples and works under the Gottman Methodology and Relational Life Therapy for couples therapy.
Leanne believes that we are always learning as therapists and she enjoys helping others in this growth.
